Installation tips

For a safe, long-lasting installation, use solid anchor points and tension the shade sail evenly on all sides. A properly tensioned sail looks better, moves less in wind, and helps reduce wear on the fabric and hardware.

For triangular shade sails, plan a slope for drainage and tension in small steps to keep the load balanced across all three corners. This reduces flapping, improves appearance, and helps protect the stitching and fixings over the long term.

  • Allow a slope so water can run off
  • Use marine grade stainless steel (316) fixings, especially in coastal or damp locations
  • Check tension periodically and re-tension if needed

A periodic visual check (rings, webbing, anchor points) is an easy way to maintain a neat, reliable installation season after season.
