1: Legal notice

We want customers to be completely happy with both our products and our service. We aim to keep our terms clear, fair and transparent.
Statutory cancellation and return rights depend on the country to which the order is delivered. Where a 14-day statutory cooling-off period applies, the customer may notify cancellation within that period after receipt of the goods.
Goods may be handled only as far as reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, size and colour. Handling beyond what is necessary may cause diminished value, which may be reflected in the refund where permitted by applicable law.
Important – before fully unfolding a shade sail: shade sails are supplied factory-folded and packaged. Fully unfolding a large sail, attempting installation, putting it under tension or using it outdoors may go beyond reasonable inspection. Once fully unfolded or tensioned, it may be impossible to return it to its original packed condition and sell it as new. Where applicable law permits, an appropriate deduction may be made for the resulting diminished value.
Change-of-mind return costs are paid by the customer where this was made clear before purchase and applicable law allows it. Rights relating to faulty, incorrect or non-conforming goods remain separate.
This website is operated by Shade Sail Boutique (Brendan Collis, Switzerland). The version of these terms displayed when the order is placed applies.

2: Formation of the contract and orders
|
Prices
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are those displayed at checkout.
- Any delivery charges are shown before an order is confirmed.
- VAT is not applicable. www.sail-shade-boutique.co.uk is operated from Switzerland as an independent business (Canton of Vaud 1644894-30 / CHE-389.582.350).
- Prices may change, but the price shown when an order is placed is the one that applies.
Product characteristics
- All offers are subject to availability.
- Product descriptions, images and dimensions are provided for guidance to assist purchasing decisions.
Orders
- Any validated order implies acceptance of these terms.
- The contract of sale is formed once the order has been accepted and the goods dispatched, subject to statutory cancellation rights.

3: Payment
|
- Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
- If invoice or bank transfer is offered, payment is expected within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

4: Delivery and receipt
|
General rules
- Goods are delivered to the address provided with the order.
- If an order cannot be supplied in full, we will contact you to agree the next steps.
- Please inspect parcels on receipt and notify us promptly of visible damage.
Delivery timescales
- Stated delivery times are estimates. Your statutory rights in the event of delivery delay remain unaffected.
- Where external factors cause delays, we will make reasonable efforts to assist.
Incorrect, faulty or non-conforming goods
- Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order reference and a brief description of the problem.
- If a return is required, we will provide return instructions before you send the item.
- A return because goods are faulty or non-conforming is separate from a change-of-mind return. Return costs and remedies are dealt with under the applicable statutory consumer rights.
- Nothing in these terms limits any applicable statutory right to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

5: Right of withdrawal

- Custom-made or clearly personalised products may be excluded from cancellation rights where applicable law provides for that exception.
- For standard goods, any statutory cancellation period is determined by the law applicable to the delivery country.
- You may handle the goods only as far as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Keep and reuse the original packaging where reasonably possible.
- Before fully unfolding a shade sail: fully unfolding, trial fitting, tensioning or outdoor use may go beyond reasonable inspection. Where this prevents resale as new, a deduction for diminished value may be made where applicable law permits.
- Direct return costs are paid by the customer where this was made clear before purchase and applicable law allows it.
- Refund timing and reimbursement of initial delivery charges are governed by the applicable consumer law.

6: Retention of title
|
- Products remain the property of Brendan Collis until payment has been received in full.

7: Guarantee
|
- Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
- Depending on the range, Coolaroo shade sails carry a 5–15 year manufacturer’s fabric warranty against UV degradation, subject to the applicable Coolaroo warranty conditions.
- This warranty concerns the shade-sail fabric; it is not a general warranty covering installation, anchor points or fixings.
- Please contact us before returning any item under warranty so the correct procedure can be confirmed.

8: Applicable law
|
- It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure products are suitable for their intended use and installation.
- We are not responsible for delays or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including transport disruption, strikes, or force majeure.

9: Data privacy
|
- Personal information collected during an order is used solely to process and support that order.
- You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data by contacting us via the website.
- We use two first-party cookies on this site. The first is a strictly necessary session cookie (e.g. PHPSESSID) required to operate the site securely. The second is a consent cookie (SBUK_consent) that records dismissal of the cookie notice for approximately six months. Neither cookie is used for advertising or analytics.
